The 7th edition of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Federation of Women in Business (COMFWB) Regional Trade Fair and Business Summit will be held in Tunis from July 1 to 3, 2026, in a hybrid format, with more than 6,000 participants expected, including 1,000 attending in person and over 5,000 online.
Organized by the National Chamber of Women Entrepreneurs (CNFCE), the international event is being held under the theme: “Expanding Intra-African Horizons: Digital Innovation as a Catalyst for Inclusive and Sustainable Access to the COMESA Market.”
The summit will bring together 400 high-level delegates, including 200 women entrepreneurs and 200 policymakers and institutional partners from COMESA’s 21 member states.
COMESA Secretary-General Chileshe Kapwepwe will be among the official participants. More than 200 women-led companies and institutions will showcase their expertise during the event.
Discussions will focus on trade integration and opportunities offered by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the role of digital transformation and FinTech in market access and sustainable development through the green economy, circular economy and support for start-ups.
The participation of women and youth in regional value chains will also feature prominently in the debates.
More than 200 business-to-business (B2B) meetings and specialized workshops will bring together companies and representatives of regional and international financial institutions.
Several cooperation and partnership agreements are also expected to be signed on the sidelines of the summit between various economic institutions, with the aim of strengthening investment within the COMESA region.
