Hotels in the city of Sousse, especially those of Chott Meriem and Kantaoui, welcomed 111,000 tourists during the first 20 days of August, regional tourism delegate in Sousse, Salwa Kadri told Jawhara FM on Wednesday.
These hotels have registered a growth of 13% compared to the past year.
Regarding the number of overnight stays, they reached 752,000, posting an increase of 8% compared to the same period last year.
Salwa Kadri also indicated that Sousse is still the favorite destination of Algerian tourists, whose number reached 13,900 during the first 20 days of August.
