The total number of valid permits stood at 15, as of the end of August 2025, including 14 exploration permits and 1 prospecting permit, according to the National Energy Observatory in its Energy Situation Report.
The total number of concessions amounted to 56, of which 44 are in production. The State, through the Tunisian Petroleum Activities Company (ETAP), participates in 34 of these production concessions, and directly in three others.
No new seismic acquisition operations were recorded by the end of August 2025.
Finally, one exploration well was drilled, along with two new development wells, by the end of August 2025.
