Tunisia: 32 African countries to attend Tunisian Economic Forum 5-6 June

A thousand participants from 32 African countries are expected to attend the second edition of the Tunisian Economic Forum, scheduled for 5 and 6 June in Tunis, on the theme “Tunisia and Sub-Saharan Africa: strategy for sustainable integration”, the Co-ordinator of the Forum, Mohamed Badira, announced here Tuesday.

“The forum will provide an opportunity to discuss political and economic relations between Tunisia and the African countries. It will also discuss the strategy to be implemented for better relations,” Badira said, noting that the continent was the promising market to which all countries of the world are turning to for investment and trade.

The forum which will see the participation of businessmen, economic and financial actors from African countries, will be opened by Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki, and witnessed by Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa, and the former President of Botswana, Festus Mongae.

According to Badira, the forum is an opportunity for participants to adopt diverse African strategies for greater economic integration.
