Tunisia: agreement on fair distribution of traffic between Monastir and Enfidha airports

An agreement on a fair distribution of air traffic between the Monastir Habib Bourguiba and Enfidha-Hammamet international airports was signed Saturday.

Under this agreement, the Monastir airport is expected to reach its maximum capacity, i.e., between 3 and 3.5 million travelers a year.

The document was signed by Transport Minister Abdelkarim Harouni, State Property and Land Affairs Minister Slim Ben Hmidane and Turkish TAV Company CEO in charge with operation of the two airports Haluk Bilgi.

The exploitation of the Enfidha and Monastir airports has been ensured by TAV since October, 2009, as part of a 40-year lease.
