Tunisia: foreign exchange reserves rise to 117 days of imports (BCT)

The level of foreign currency net assets stood at 12,841 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) or 117 days of import until August 22, 2016, posting a slight increase compared to the previous period, said the latest figures from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).

Indeed, until July 1, 2016 the level of foreign net assets amounted to 12,189 MTD or 112 days of imports, and 110 days of imports or 12,106 MTD until June 10, 2016.

According to the same figures, the notes and coins in circulation amounted to 9,973 MTD until August 22 against 9,790 MTD at July 1, 2016, while the global refinancing volume stood at 6,988 MDT the date of August 23, 2016 against 7.176 MTD until the date of July 4, 2016, recording a slight decline.
