Tunisia is working to attract 30,000 Chinese tourists during the current year, Tourism Minister Sofiane Tekaya announced.
The Minister said the country welcomed 24,000 Chinese tourists in 2024.
On the sidelines of a working visit to the Higher Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Studies in Sidi Dhrif, the minister stated that his department is coordinating with the Ministry of Transport to launch a direct flight route between Tunisia and China, operated by Tunisair and other foreign airlines, to further promote Tunisia as a tourist destination, according to media reports.
