Tunisia: around 3000 participants expected at FITA 2023

Nearly 3,000 participants are expected to attend the 6th edition of the international conference “Financing Investment and Trade in Africa” (FITA 2023), which will be held in Tunis on May 3 and 4, 2023, said the Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC), the main organizer of the event.

FITA 2023 will be an opportunity for Tunisian institutional and economic players to meet with senior international financial officials, donors and investment fund managers to discuss ways to facilitate access to finance and boost the African economy, according to the same source.

The new conference, which will bring together some 750 foreign managers from nearly 60 countries and 70 exhibitors, will take place in a difficult global economic situation, characterized by financial crises affecting several countries, including African ones.

This conference will therefore be an opportunity to turn these various crises into opportunities, to put in place financing mechanisms and to propose alternatives that will allow investment and inter-African trade to continue to develop.

The international conference will feature panels on energy, climate, sustainable development, digital transformation, infrastructure, water and food security.

Nearly 2000 participants from 45 countries attended the 5th edition of the international conference “Financing Investment and Trade in Africa” (May 25 and 26, 2022), which was marked by the presentation of the White Paper containing more than 30 projects aimed at building bridges of economic, financial and commercial cooperation between African and Japanese investors, with the aim of reviving African economies after the COVID-19 health crisis.
