The exchange rate of the Tunisian dinar has appreciated against the US dollar, with 1 dollar being worth 3.106 dinars on August 18, compared with 3.165 dinars on the same date last year, according to statistics published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) last Monday.
As for the value of 1,000 Japanese yen, it dropped from 23.282 dinars on August 18, 2022 to 21.377 dinars on August 18, 2023.
On the other hand, the value of the dinar depreciated against the euro, as 1 euro is currently worth 3.379 dinars, compared to 3.215 dinars in August 2022.
The BCT also reported a slight increase in net foreign exchange reserves in a few days, from 109 days of imports on August 18, 2023 to 112 days of imports (equivalent to almost 25.840 billion dinars) on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
