Banque de Tunisie (BT) has announced that it achieved a net banking income of TND 336.5 million at the end of September, compared with TND 299 million at the end of the third quarter of 2022, an increase of 12.5%.
Banking operating income increased by 19.5% to TND 587.8 million, compared with TND 492 million at September 30, 2022. This increase was mainly related to interest (+25.5%).
Banking operating expenses increased by 30.2% from TND 192.9 million to TND 251.2 million between September 2022 and last September.
Customer loans (net of provisions) reached an outstanding amount of TND 5,464 million, compared to TND 5,317 million at September 30, 2022, up 2.8%.
Customer deposits increased by 9.5%, from TND 5,176 million to TND 5,667 million.
This growth was mainly driven by increases in sight deposits of 16.9% and savings deposits of 12.1%.
Outstanding special funds decreased by 20% from 356.6 million dinars at September 30, 2002 to TND 285.2 million.
