Tunisia: BCT expects 3.6% growth in 2013

At its meeting held Wednesday, September 4, 2013, the Board of Directors of the Central Bank noted an improvement in the pace of growth in the second quarter of 2013, based on the latest data published by the National Institute of Statistics showing a 3.2% increase in GDP yoy at constant prices.

This rate is equal to the one recorded in the same period of 2012 rate, against 2.6% in the previous quarter, and reaching 3% for the first half of the year with a target rate of 3.6% for the full year 2013, against a preliminary forecast of 4%, thanks to the economic and financial measures that the government plans to implement soon.
