The company Carthage Cement has just published its interim financial statements for the first half of the year. These statements show a net half-yearly profit of 16.1 million dinars, against a net loss of 3.2 million at the end of June 2020.
The company’s revenue shows a surge of 60% from 102 million dinars at the end of June 2020 to 164 million last June 30.
These revenues came to the tune of 140.4 million dinars from cement sales, 9 million from clinker export sales and 7.7 million from the sales of quarry products.
The company’s revenues are expected to increase by 2.5% in the first half of 2020.
As for operating expenses, they stood at 133.7 million dinars, compared to 96.8 million at
the end of the first six months of last year, a growth of 38%.
To this end, the operating result comes out 265% higher to 38.8 million dinars, against 10.6 million at the end of June 2020.
In addition, net financial expenses fell from 31.7 million dinars in the first half of last year to 22 million at the end of last June, a decline of 30%. Net financial expenses totaled 57 million dinars at the end of 2020.
