Ovens of Carthage Cement will enter service on September 3, 2013 and the plant will produce its first bag of cement before September 10, bringing production of aggregates (gravel) from 12,000 tons to 19,000 tons and allowing the creation of 1,500 new jobs, Riadh Ben Khalifa, CEO of Carthage Cement announced Wednesday on Express FM radio.
He then referred to the tendency of Carthage Cement to adapt to international standards which involve the production of 60% of cement and 40% of derivative products (bags, gravel, alternative fuel …).
He also said that the company is just waiting for the administrative permissions to create a factory and produce its own bags (6 MTD).
