Tunisia: euro exceeds 3.4 dinars on interbank market for 1st time since April 2019

At the close of trading on Friday, July 14, 2023, the euro broke the 3.400-dinar barrier on the interbank market for the first time since April 19, 2019.

According to daily data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), one euro is now being exchanged for 3.401 dinars.

This brings the single currency’s appreciation against the Tunisian dinar to 2.75% since the start of the year.

On December 20, 2018, the euro broke the 3.400-dinar barrier for the first time on the Tunisian interbank market.
