Tunisia: day-to-day MMR drops to 7.85% for first time since end February (BCT)

The daily Monetary Market Rate (MMR) stood at 7.85% on Thursday, April 11, 2019, according to the daily indicators of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).

It fell for the first time since February 27, 2019, the date of entry into force of the decision of the BCT to raise its key rate by 100 basis points from 6.75% to 7.75 %.

Since then, the daily MMR has almost stagnated at 7.90%. In addition, the monthly average money market rate in March is 7.90%, compared to 7.28% in February and a stagnation of 7.24% during the months of January 2019 and December 2018.
