The Tunisian dinar stabilized against the euro at February 9, 2015 to 2.190 TD and fell slightly against the US dollar to 1.9350 TD, oscillating between 1.9250 and 1.9355, according to the website Tustex.
The appreciation movement of the Tunisian dinar for three weeks, with some depreciation, is explained by the increase in olive oil export earnings, i.e. nearly 320 million dinars over the period between November 2014 and end of January 2015 and by low demand from importing companies.
A 20% increase in the number of days of imports corresponding to at 128 days was recorded compared to the beginning of February 2014 (106 days), the source added.
