Remittances of Tunisians Residing Abroad reached a record of 7.5 billion dinars in 2021, posting a growth of 28% compared to 2020.
This is a remarkable increase compared to 2020, which itself was considered an exceptional year where remittances had risen by 11% compared to 2019, in a context of pandemic.
It is important to note that expat remittances at the end of last December are three times higher than tourism revenues, which, in turn, stood at 2.3 billion dinars.
