Tunisia has exported 20,311 tons of dates to North Africa in the 2015/2016 season against 14,446 tons in 2014/2015, up 40%, according to the data provided on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries to African Manager.
It should be noted that the dates market in Tunisia revolves mainly around the oases of Tozeur, Gafsa, Gabes and Kebili which produce over 150 varieties of dates.
