Tunisia: Express Air Cargo acquires its first B737NG

Tunisia: Express Air Cargo (7A, Tunis) took delivery of its first B737NG dedicated freighter – a B737-800(SF) – on May 13, 2022.

TS-ICD (msn 30704) was ferried after conversion by Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) at Commercial Jet’s Dothan facility to Tunis via Bangor and Shannon over the course of May 11-13. It has yet to be inducted into revenue service with the Tunisian cargo specialist. The airline owns the 15.9-year-old ex-Regent Airways (RGE, Dhaka) jet.

Express Air Cargo’s active fleet comprises two B737 Classic freighters, one B737-300(F) and one B737-300(QC), the ch-aviation fleets advanced module shows.

The airline said earlier this year that it was looking at another B737-800 freighter, to be delivered in June, as well as a B767-300F for delivery in 2023. It has not announced either of these commitments as firm just yet. The airline did not respond to ch-aviation’s request for an update concerning its fleet growth plans, according to Air Cargo news.
