Tunisian Finance Minister Houcine Dimassi reasserted that the growth rate of the Tunisian economy will reach 3.5% in 2012 and may even by higher.
Speaking at the plenary session of the Constituent Assembly on the review of draft supplementary budget law, he was surprised of the skepticism with which was received the prediction of a growth rate of 3, 5%, indicating that growth figures in the first quarter of 2012 set at 2% by the National Institute of Statistics, have been compared with the first quarter of 2011, and not by adopting the approach of the Central Bank, which had established its forecast of March 2012 compared to February 2012.
