Tunisia: foreign currency net assets drop to 112 days of imports in October (BCT)

Tunisia’s foreign currency net assets decreased by 754.9 MD, between 2015 and 2016 (October 6) to 12,579.7 million Tunisian dinars (MTD), equivalent to 112 days of imports, according to the monetary and financial indicators published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), on its website.

According to the central bank, banknotes and coins in circulation nationwide represent a total value of 10,053 MTD on the same date, against 8,947 MTD in October 2015.

In terms of cumulative tourism revenues, they stood at 1,808 MTD to the end of September, 2016, falling compared to the first 9 months of 2015 (1,974.8 MTD).

As for cumulative labor income, it is of the order of 2,287.4 MTD against 2,170.03 MTD in September 2015.

Regarding the accumulated servicing of external debt, it reached a value of 3,201.6 MTD at September 30, 2016, against 2,238.2 MTD last year.
