Tunisia’s net foreign currency reserves dropped to 92 days of imports (12,420 MD) on November 24, against reserves covering 98 days of imports (12,954 MD) on October 27, 2017, according to (provisional) figures published on the official website of the Central Bank of Tunisia.
With this level, Tunisia is at the threshold of insecurity in terms of foreign exchange reserves, since this threshold is normally fixed, according to specialists, to 110 days of import.
Still, according to the latest indicators of the BCT, the banknotes and coins in circulation reached 11,220 MD as of November 23, 2017.
As for the overall volume of refinancing, it stood at 10,362 MD as at November 24, 2017.
