Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) now cover 102 days of imports, their lowest level since October 9, 2019.
According to data from the BCT, net foreign exchange reserves as on November 3, 2022 amounted to the equivalent of 22,693 million dinars, against, 18,111 million dinars on September 20, 2019, reflecting the sharp deterioration of the national currency, especially against the dollar.
Net foreign exchange reserves have declined by 1,601 million dinars or 23 days of imports, compared to the same date last year, or November 3, 2021.
