Tunisia: Inflation rate down 0.2 points to 3.7% in July (minister)

Tunisia’s inflation stood at 3.7% by the end of July, dropping 0.2 points in comparison with June, said Trade Minister in the caretaker government Mohsen Hassen.

The Minister, who presented trade indicators as he met Thursday with outgoing Prime Minister Habib Essid, said foreign trade showed improvement by the end of June with the decrease in trade deficit and the coverage rate of imports by exports rose compared to the same period last year.

The Trade department has granted eight hypermarket authorizations out of 13 applications in Tunisia, he also indicated.
