Tunisia: government defers negotiations on wage increases to 2015

The government has decided to defer to next year negotiations on wage increases in the public sector for the year 2014, announced the official spokesman of the government, Nidhal Ouerfelli, after the Cabinet meeting held last Friday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa.

He said that the UGTT will be the interlocutor of the next government in the negotiations, adding that the Cabinet meeting has issued a call for social peace during the parliamentary and presidential elections to guarantee them the right conditions for success.
