Tunisia: Hannibal Lease successfully raises 40 million dinars on bond market

Subscriptions to the bond issue “Hannibal Lease 2020-02” of 30 million dinars that could be increased to a maximum of 40 million, open to the public on September 15, 2020, were closed on September 22, for an amount of 40 million dinars, stock exchange intermediary, MAC SA, announced.

It should be recalled that the stock exchange intermediary, MAC SA, has, in partnership with the company Hannibal Lease dedicated, for the first time in Tunisia, a category exclusively to individuals for an amount of 5 million dinars.

The aim is to diversify investment opportunities for individuals, on the one hand, and to boost the secondary market, on the other hand.

In addition, to ensure liquidity on the secondary market, Hannibal Lease unilaterally undertakes to repurchase the bonds held by subscribers in this category at any time during the 5-year life of this loan, with a repurchase price not exceeding the nominal value of the issue (remaining capital).

It should be pointed out that the closing date for subscriptions to this loan was initially scheduled for November 13.
