Investments reported in the industrial sector reached 2,973.7 MTD during the first ten months of the year, against 2,568.4 MTD in the same period of 2011, up 15 8%, according to the newsletter of the Industry Promotion Agency (API).
The number of reported projects totaled 3,359 to the end of October 2012, posting an increase of 3.4% compared to the same period last year.
These projects will create 59,387 job positions, against 68,502 created during the same period of 2011, down 13.3%.
Still according to the API, investments reported in the industrial sector reached the value of 219.6 MTD during the month of October, posting an increase of 8.5% compared to 2011.
Meanwhile, the number of projects reported fell from 354 to 327 during the month of October 2012, i.e. down 7.6%.
These projects will generate 6,193 job positions, against 6,260 job positions during the month of October 2011, i.e. a slight decrease of 1.1%.
