Tunisia: Microsoft plans to create 1 million SMEs in Africa

CEO of Microsoft Tunisia, Mohamed Bridaa, Monday, told Shems FM, that the U.S. computer giant plans to create a million small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Africa, for a total budget estimated between 75 and 100 million, as part of the 4Afrika Initiative.

This initiative aims to reduce the digital divide between Africa and the rest of the world, and spur economies of the continent, said Mohamed Bridaa.

The official announcement of 4Afrika was made in Cairo, in February 2013, in the presence of a Tunisian senior government delegation and several directors of Tunisian agencies.
