According to information published on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Interior, more than 19,000 security officers will soon be assigned in all tourist areas in Tunisia to secure these areas against any terrorist threat.
The government recently announced a set of measures to fight against terrorism, following the recent terrorist attack which took place Friday, June 26, 2015, at a hotel in Sousse.
Spokesman for the Ministry Mohamed Ali Laroui had already announced the deployment of more than a thousand armed police in different tourist areas.
