The National Business Register will enter an advanced phase of digital transformation of its services starting July 1, 2026, its Director General, Mohamed Adel Chouari, announced.
As of that date, he said on Mosaïque FM, paper file submissions will be permanently discontinued in favor of fully digital procedures via the electronic platform.
He added that by the end of September 2026, the online issuance of the tax identification card will be launched, in partnership with the General Directorate of Taxes and the IT Center of the Ministry of Finance.
This development is part of the implementation of the Finance Minister’s decree of February 12, 2026, authorizing remote declarations of presence.
As a result, the business creation process will become fully digital, from reserving a company name to obtaining a tax identification number, including the extract from the National Business Register—without any need for physical travel.
Mohamed Adel Chouari noted that access to the National Business Register will now require a digital identity, for both individuals and companies, as well as for regulated professions such as lawyers and chartered accountants, who will have specific access to online services.
He emphasized that electronically submitted documents will have the same legal value and evidentiary force as physical documents before courts and public administrations, marking a major shift in administrative procedures.
