Tunisia: network of 26 electric car charging points, and SNDP lagging behind

TotalEnergies is said to have developed the first electric car recharging network covering the Tunisian territory by providing its customers with recharging stations every 200km.

With 26 charging points served by 19 electric terminals on 17 service stations, this network would be developed in the framework of a collaborative approach with the Ennakl Group, MG Motors and Hyundai.

However, the French oil company is not alone. The Tunisian SNDP also has a network, admittedly less extensive, but which exists.

As early as December 2020, and together with STEG, the national oil distributor was preparing 10 recharging points, one of which can be seen in one of its stations at the southern exit of Tunis. Four others were to start later.

For both, the question of the financial cost of recharging has never been addressed in commercial press releases, and even less communicated to consumers, especially from the French oil company that says it has such a large network, and even less the duration of the charge.
