Tunisia: major investment projects announced by Turkish businessman

Interim Prime Minister Ali Larayedh met Tuesday with the Turkish businessman Ihsan Arslan, who plans to build a large mall in La Goulette or the Northern Lake area of Tunis, mobilizing investment of over 600 million dinars (MTD), the Prime Ministry said in a statement.

Ihsan Arslan is one of the largest Turkish businessmen and investors. He operates in the sectors of trade, hypermarkets, construction, infrastructure, real estate development, industry, petrochemicals and metallurgy.

The Turkish investor, who has just opened an office to run his business in Tunisia, “expressed interest in the implementation of major investment projects, in the framework of Turkish-Tunisian cooperation.”

The project he plans to achieve will providing great trade and employment opportunities and is currently under discussion with the various concerned government departments.
