Tunisia: no less than 1.5 million Algerians expected

It is expected that as many as 1.5 million Algerians visit Tunisia during the current year, reported Algerian newspaper “jeune-independent”.

The Algerian market has posted a growth of 5 to 7% compared to last year during which Tunisia has attracted 1.480 million Algerians, 30% resided in hotels while the rest opted for renting houses stay, president of the Tunisian Hotel Federation (FTH), Radhouane Ben Salah told Tunisian news agency TAP last Tuesday. According to him, the Algerian market is a “great contribution” to the promotion of the Tunisian destination.

Moreover, the number of Algerian tourist arrivals in Tunisia has reached 451,000 from 1 January to 10 June 2016, i.e. (2.8%) more than last year.

Nearly 6,000 Algerian daily cross the border post of Oum Teboul located north of the Tunisian-Algerian border.
