Tunisia: Nouvelair resumes flights to London’s Gatwick Airport

Nouvelair has announced that it has restarted flights between Gatwick and Tunis after two years of disruption due to COVID-19.

The Tunisian carrier suspended flights due to the pandemic in 2020, initially restarted last July 2021 but suspended the service shortly afterwards due to travel restrictions imposed by the UK government.

With a fleet of 10 Airbus A320s, the carrier will offer a twice-weekly service to Tunis from London airport on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This service will increase in May to three weekly flights with the introduction of a Thursday service.

Gatwick airline business development manager David Bell said: “We are delighted that after a two- year wait due to Covid-19, Nouvelair is commencing its twice-weekly service to Tunis, offering passengers the only direct link between Gatwick and the Tunisian capital.”

Nouvelair will also begin flights from Manchester to Monastir in May with a weekly Sunday service, which will increase to twice weekly in July with the addition of a Wednesday service.
