PBR Rating awarded BIAT a rating (in local currency) of AA- (TUN) on a scale ranging from AAA to D.
This rating reflects BIAT’s first-rate performance in the local banking system and its marked resilience in a difficult economic context.
BIAT is a leader in the local banking sector and has forged a place for itself over the years, making it a major player in the Tunisian economy. BIAT is a dynamic and constantly evolving bank, making investments, building sites and internal projects continuously, with the expected returns in terms of profitability and governance.
At the level of the Information System, PBR Rating notes that BIAT was the first Tunisian bank to implement, for more than a decade, the Global Banking solution TEMENOS T24, the world leader in global banking solutions.
It should also be noted that BIAT is the first Tunisian bank equipped with Quantara, an innovative Information System, intended for capital market players, aimed at consolidating the development of trading room activities.
Biat has also initiated, since 2018, the implementation of its digital transformation plan. This plan aims, in particular, to make the bank the leader on the digital offer in the financial sector in Tunisia and to play a role of catalyst in the digital transformation of the country.
