Investments in projects whose cost exceeds 5 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) posted a 36% increase from 635.7 MTD during the first seven months of 2015 to 864.6 MTD during the first seven months of 2016. This is what emerged from the latest figures of the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII).
The number of projects grew from 62 to 73 during the first seven months of 2016. These projects will create 6,503 job positions, against 3,795 job positions during the first seven months of 2015, up 71, 4%.
It is noteworthy also that projects of 5 MTD, which represent only 3.3% of the number of reported projects and 20.1% of the number of jobs, total 49.8% of all reported investments.
