Contrary to forecasts of the World Bank reporting a growth rate of 2.5% in 2014, former adviser to the outgoing Prime Minister, Slim Besbes said in a statement to Africanmanager that Tunisia can achieve a growth rate of 4 % in 2014.
With the adoption of the Tunisian Constitution and the formation of the new government, a growth rate of 4% is more than reasonable for the year 2014, he added.
Besbes also said that the new government of Mehdi Jomaa will rely on a very strong confidence that can help it achieve its objectives, which the government of Ali Laârayedh was not able to get it, according to him.
