The Gafsa Phosphate Company managed to produce 3 million and 30,000 tons of commercial phosphate at its production sites in the mining basin in 2024, corresponding to a monthly average of around 250,000 tons.
The company has thus recorded a slight improvement in production compared with 2023, when production reached 2.9 million tons, reports Mosaïque FM, citing a well-informed source within the company.
For 2025, the company’s management has drawn up a program aimed at achieving production of 5 million tons by increasing production capacity and commissioning new equipment and machinery at several sites.
