SONEDE International has just published its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2019 as they will be submitted for approval to the Ordinary General Meeting to be held on July 17, 2020.
SONEDE’s fully exporting subsidiary (35%), whose purpose is to carry out studies and services in the field of water as well as the operation of networks and works on the international market, with Africa and the Middle East as its main destination, achieved a global turnover of 1.9 million dinars in 2019, against 1.26 million in 2018, i.e. a growth of 49%.
Most of the company’s revenue comes from contracts concluded in Mauritania (606 thousand dinars), the Democratic Republic of Congo (524 thousand dinars), and Djibouti (304 thousand dinars).
As for operating expenses, they rose from 1.3 million dinars to 1.5 million dinars between December 2018 and December 2019, i.e. a growth of 13.6%.
These expenses are mainly composed of 724 thousand dinars of purchases and 693 thousand dinars of other operating expenses.
These include per diem (419 thousand dinars), travel expenses (83 thousand dinars), attendance fees (38 thousand dinars), etc.
To this end, the operating result is in excess of 390 thousand dinars, against a negative result of 56 thousand dinars in 2018.
Therefore, the company will make a net profit of 364 thousand dinars in 2019, against a gain of 94 thousand dinars a year earlier.
The company’s capital at 31 December 2019 is held 35% by SONEDE, 10% by ONAS, 10% by STB Invest, 10% by STEG International, 5% by STUDI International, 5% by SCET, 5% by COMETE Immobilière and 20% by individuals.
