The health crisis linked to the COVID-19 pandemic has left its mark on SOTETEL’s performance during the first nine months of the year, despite the achievement in the third quarter of a turnover equivalent to that realized in 2019.
Therefore, revenues for the third quarter reached 8.2 million dinars, up 0.7% compared to the same quarter of 2019.
Overall, cumulative revenues for the first nine months of the current year amounted to 21.4 million dinars, down 31.2% compared to the same period a year ago.
As for operating expenses, they fell from 30.9 million dinars at the end of September 2019 to 24.4 million dinars as of September 30, down 21%, mainly due to the decline in purchases consumed by 40% to 10.3 million dinars.
Consequently, EBITDA for the period is negative 3 million dinars, compared to a positive EBITDA of 239 thousand dinars at the end of the first nine months of last year.
