Tunisia-South Africa Business and Partnership Forum in Sousse

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Centre (CCIC) received, on Wednesday, a delegation of 12 South African businesspeople on the sidelines of the and Tunisian-South African Business and Partnership Forum held in Sousse, in the presence of South African Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Bulelani Magwanishe who is making an official visit to Tunisia.

The South African-Tunisian Forum provided an opportunity to discuss partnership areas and investment opportunities and set up an agenda for action, CCIC Director General Faten Basli told TAP.

The Forum was also an opportunity to give the South African delegation an overview of the economic fabric and specificities and assets of the Tunisian centre and Sahel region, she added.

During this forum, around 98 business meetings were held between South African entrepreneurs and their Tunisian counterparts working in the chemical, food, mechanical, textile, services, construction and public works industries.

A delegation of businesspeople from the Tunisian centre and Sahel region will travel to South Africa in late February 2019, she reported.
