Société Tunisienne de Banque’s (STB) net banking income improved slightly by 0.55% to TND 510.6 million, at the end of September 2023, following an increase in banking operating income (+16.5%) and banking operating expenses (+35.8%).
According to the bank’s activity indicators published on the Tunis Stock Exchange website, the portfolio of investment and commercial securities increased by 20% to TND 1,649.9 million and by 26.8% to TND 975.5 million respectively.
Customer deposits went up by 3% to TND 9,914.9 in the first nine months of the year, thanks to growth in sight deposits (+0.15%) and savings deposits (+10.2%).
Borrowing resources amounted to TND 666.6 million at the end of September 2023, up 12.6%, following a 44% increase in special resources, while net loans to customers fell slightly by 1.75% to TND 10,785.4 million. Operating expenses increased by 11.25% to TND 244.6 million at the end of September 2023.
