The World Bank said Monday in a statement that it has not yet given a tentative agreement for a loan of $ 500 million (USD) to the Tunisian government for 2013.
Director of the Maghreb Department at the World Bank Simon Gray said, according to the statement, “the World Bank has discussed with the Tunisian authorities the possibility of an additional budget support for 2013, but we are still far from an agreement for a new loan.
This will depend on the performance of the government’s program to strengthen the business environment and promote transparency and good governance. ”
