Société Tunisienne des Industries de Pneumatiques (STIP) increased its turnover by 7% to 39.3 million dinars in the third quarter of this year, compared with 34.4 million dinars in the same period last year.
This performance enabled the company to recover almost all the ground lost in the first nine months of the current year, with cumulative sales of 99.5 million dinars, compared with 101 million dinars at the end of September 2023, representing a slight decline of 1.5%.
Exports showed a marked improvement in the third quarter, with sales increasing by 67% from 4.2 million dinars to 7 million dinars. In the first nine months of the year, however, export sales fell by 17.8%.
Production volumes also fell by 13%, mainly due to the longer annual shutdown period required to install and fine-tune the Trygénération system.
