A Presidential decree No. 2022-68 of February 4, 2022, relating to the issue of the national bond intended to cover part of the state budget needs in 2022 was published in the Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic (JORT).
The subscription to the national bond issue will be done on four tranches. The date of opening and closing of subscriptions to the national bond issue, the characteristics and conditions of issue for each tranche will be set by order of the Minister of Finance.
The presidential decree specifies that non-resident Tunisians can subscribe and acquire the securities of the national bond issue in Tunisian dinar, by debiting their foreign accounts opened at banks in foreign currency or in convertible dinar or by bank transfer from abroad.
It should be recalled that the state has mobilized last year 1.8 billion dinars through a national bond issue that was done on three tranches.
