Tunisia, Togo sign draft agreement to boost exchanges

A draft agreement on the development of exchanges and trade, industrial and technical relations between Tunisian and Togolese companies was signed on October 31, 2011 in Lomé, Togo, between the Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) and its Togolese counterpart.

 

In a statement released on Tuesday, TCCI specifies that the agreement also provides for the promotion of direct relations and organization of business forums, the exchange of economic missions, as well as the holding of joint economic events.

A Tunisian-Togolese partnership day was on held on Saturday, October 29, in Lomé, adds the same statement, reminding that the two sides also agreed to exchange legal information related to the use and practice of arbitration, as well as economic information pertaining to foreign trade.

 

On the occasion of that day, bilateral meetings were organized between the Tunisian businessmen and their Togolese counterparts operating in the sectors of food industry, printing, international trade, building material and electrical components.

 

The Tunisian delegation was made up of some twenty representatives of Tunisian enterprises.
