Tunisia: Tourism receipts amount to 3.8 billion dinars

Despite the significant depreciation of the dinar against the main currencies, in this case the dollar and the euro, Tunisia’s tourism receipts rose significantly in 2018 in foreign currencies.

Indeed, according to the monetary and financial indicators of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), tourist receipts cumulated until December 10, 2018 amounted to 3.8 billion dinars against 2.7 billion at the same date in 2017 , i.e. a growth of 1.1 billion dinars or + 41.5%.

On the other hand, since the beginning of the year, the dinar has depreciated by 22.4% against the US dollar and 15.3% against the euro.
