Tunisia’s tourism receipts continued to rise in 2023. According to data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), they reached 1.3 billion dinars at the end of April, against 816 million dinars a year earlier, soaring 60%.
Expressed in dollars, these receipts amount to $420 million, which is almost half of what Tunisians living abroad transferred during the same period.
According to the figures announced by the Ministry of Tourism, Tunisia received 2.2 million tourists during the first four months of the current year, i.e. a 95% increase compared to the same period last year.
