Investments reported in the industrial sector reached 112.5 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) during the month of September 2012, against 261.3 MD, during the same period of 2011, down 57%.
The number of reported projects fell from 346 to 283, down 18.2%. These projects will create 4,416 job positions, against 6,880 job positions in September 2011, i.e. a decrease of 35.8%.
However, for the first 9 months, the figures seem more or less reassuring and are up. Indeed, during this period, reported investment totaled 2,754.2 MTD, against 2,398.1 MTD in the first nine months of 2011, rising by 14.8%.
