The Société de Transport des Hydrocarbures par Pipelines (SOTRAPIL) has announced a record profit of 9.3 million dinars in 2022, up 22% compared to the previous year.
The company achieved a turnover of 16.7 million dinars, a slight increase of 1.5% justified by
the increase in the quantities transported via the Jet A1 pipeline, the successive rise of transport tariffs via the Bizerte -Rades pipeline, and the increase of the transport tariff via the Jet A1 pipeline by about +12% as of December 1, 2022.
In addition, the total operating income amounted to 20.2 million dinars against 18 million dinars as of December 31, 2021, i.e. the highest level reached since the company started its activity in 1984. This 11.3% growth is mainly explained by the improvement of the positive balance of the volume position by about 103%.
In addition, the company has perfectly controlled its operating expenses which have stagnated at their level of last year, i.e. 9.6 million dinars.
As a result, the operating result rose by 25.5% to 10.5 million dinars, from 8.4 million dinars a year earlier.
